BARRY LYGA

Barry Lyga is the author of several acclaimed novels, including The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy & Goth Girl (described as both "a love letter and a suicide note to comics"), its sequel Goth Girl Rising, and the award-winning Boy Toy.

He has also dabbled in the Marvel Universe, with the illustrated prose novella, Wolverine: Worst Day Ever (JAN092590).

Mangaman is his first graphic novel and as a comic book geek of long standing, he is ridiculously psyched about it. His comic book collection is a lot smaller than it used to be, but what remains is really awesome stuff.

COLLEEN DORAN

Collen Doran got her first professional art assignment in advertising when she was fifteen, and has been working steadily ever since. She lives and works on a small farm, where she enjoys lots of peace and quiet.

Current projects include Mangaman, and the graphic novel Gone to Amerikay, written by Derek McCulloch, coming from DC/Vertigo in 2012. Also, Colleen just signed with Dark Horse for a fully painted original graphic novel adaptation of the work of a popular novelist, and she is also very close to finishing another Vertigo graphic novel with Warren Ellis titled, Stealth Tribes. Colleen also writes and draws A Distant Soil for Image Comics, and is currently working on the final installment of the story, which is serialized at www.adistantsoil.com. Colleen also works as a creator rights advocate, which entails lecturing, writing, and traveling to Washington DC to discuss matters of concern to creators with our nation’s fine congressman and senators.
