Staff Picks (June): Rachel Rising Omnibus Hardcover

It’s no secret I’ve been a fan of Terry Moore going back to the debut of Strangers in Paradise. Terry has proven to be adept at making the characters and situations in his stories relatable, from self-awareness and being yourself in Strangers in Paradise to rising to the occasion in science-fiction in Echo to the supernatural world in Rachel Rising. In all of these stories the situations and characters become believable and make for compelling reading.

Almost five years after Abstract Studios introduced us to Rachel Rising and its new cast of characters, it’s now all wrapped up in a nice a pretty hardcover package.

In this hardcover omnibus edition we see the complete story of Rachel‘s rise from the grave to track down her own murderer. With the help of a 10-year old serial killer carrying the remains of Satan's sword and a sister who is literally the first woman to ever exist, Rachel uncovers the wicked secrets of small town Manson and its terrible role in earth's final days. Will Rachel learn from her past in time to save the future?  

Terry Moore has proven himself to us over the years writing romance, crime, science fiction, supreme super heroics, and runaway mutant teen angst, showing us how suspense and horror should be done. The Rachel Rising Omnibus edition from Abstract Studio makes a fine addition on your bookshelves right next to the Strangers in Paradise slipcased edition and the Complete Echo omnibus.
