Jan 22, 2014
Publisher: Bohemian Press
When New York City’s furry citizens are in trouble, who are you going to call…costumed superhero pup, Piggy, and his “gross-bow” toting kitty sidekick, Simon, of course! And when you’re looking for the action-packed, fun for all ages comic where you can read all about this team’s exciting escapades… pick up a copy of Bohemian Press’s newest comic series A Piggy’s Tale!
A (semi) true story of a brave three-legged dog and his street smart kitty pal, Tod Emko’s candid narrative and Ethan Young’s bold illustrations make for a perfectly adorable story with a fantastic cast of characters that both kids and adults won’t help but fall in love with. What really sets this comic apart from other masked hero or animal adventure comics, though, is the encouraging message that Emko and Young interweave seamlessly into the narrative; never give up on your goals and dreams even if, at the moment, the odds seem to be stacked against you.
It isn’t often that a comic is able to stand on its own as a great story while promoting such a positive message in an effortless and, honestly, inconspicuous way. A Piggy’s Tale is such a comic! Read it because you’re a fan of caped crusaders and fuzzy friends. Read it because you’re looking for something more than a standard superhero comic. Needless to say, pick up a copy of the first issue of Bohemian Press’s new comic, A Piggy’s Tale!
