Staff Picks (February 13): Holiday Wars GN

The Holidays have come and gone but if your holidays were anything like mine then they have certainly left their mark in the form of vicious scars on your tattered psyche. From Family strife, sinus colds, and never ending traffic jams I thought I had it bad until I read Holiday Wars.

Unbeknownst to us the Holidays have walked among us. Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, and others, are real and have concealed from the general populace for fear of being erased from existence. These supernatural beings or “Holidays” hiding in their places of power have seen the consequences of what happens when gods step out of the shadows and into the public eye. They remember how the Greek gods revealed themselves to the world and meddled in the affairs of men. In the modern era those Greek deities have ceased to exist without anyone to worship them. The consensus amongst those supernatural beings that remained was that it was safer to remain hidden.

However, now there is dissention in the ranks of these old beings and Teenager Tegan Cassidy is thrown in the middle of a vicious conflict in Th3rd World Studios’ book Holiday Wars! Protected by the Holidays still loyal to the defeated Santa Claus Tegan must find a way to find the Holiday Spirit and elude the vicious armies of the Easter Bunny.
