It’s been some time since the titular ’68 Camaro has graced comic pages, acting as the core for a variety of strange, intriguing, and action-packed stories about the lives of those who come in contact with this mysterious piece of Detroit muscle. Years have passed, but these tires still have good tread on them. It looks like the dust cover is off, and this iconic catalyst for vehicular mayhem is leaving the garage once again.
They say the road to hell is often paved with good intentions but The Ride: Southern Gothic shows us that; regardless of the intentions, the road to hell is usually whatever stretch of blacktop we find the pitch-black machine. The adventures continue and more people find themselves behind the wheel but some of them have evil in mind.
The Ride: Southern Gothic brings us the same high-caliber art and writing readers have come to expect from the series with the likes of Ron Marz, David Lapham, Rick Leonardi, and others so it’s not a question of whether readers will enjoy the ride, it’s only a matter of whether they can bear to wait for the next issue.
