Imported from Japan! Apollo 11 is perhaps the most famous space mission of all time. This spaceflight put man on the Moon for the first time on July 20, 1969 as millions of TV viewers around the world watched with anticipation. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the two American astronauts to walk on the lunar soil of the southern Sea of Tranquility. They arrived aboard the Lunar Module (LM) that had been christened Eagle in honor of the bald eagle, the national bird of the USA. For the first time, the Lunar Module is being offered in 1/48 scale. This larger scale permits more detail and offers greater scope for it to be set in a lunar diorama scene. Alternatively, the model works extremely well as a stand alone desktop decoration. With the touchdown of this new 1/48 scale LM from Dragon, the Eagle has well and truly landed!
