A pair of obscure and bizarre forays into fright films! In "The Man Who Turned to Stone," veteran character actor Victor Jory appears to be the kindly and caring head of the medical department at a woman's reformatory, while helping his colleagues to utilize the life force of the young inmates to unnaturally prolong their own lifespans. In "The Brute Man," Rondo Hatton plays an escaped lunatic embarking on a homicidal rampage in a film where Hatton's grotesque appearance was briefly exploited for movie shock value.
