The Concept: G.I. JOE is the code name for America's daring and highly trained special mission force.  It's purpose: to defend freedom against COBRA, a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world.
This Issue: As the new PIT base becomes operational, a team of Joes, including Spirit and Cover Girl,  are sent on a bizarre mission to track down a missing child. Who is this kid and why is the government so interested in him? And what does his disapperance have to do with the forces of Cobra? It's a tale of urban espionage featuring some old favorites.  Also, a great jumping on point for new readers. This issue will have MAJOR repurcutions for the storyline in upcoming issues.
