Russell shows off some of his favorite toys below!

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF:

Well I'm 43 years old. I live in a small town in Northwest Georgia. I have a wife and two sons and I enjoy collecting action figures and other antique toys.

WHEN DID YOU START COLLECTING?

I started collecting probably around eight years old. GI Joe Transformers He-Man were all my introduction to action figure collecting. I had quite a collection when I was younger and over the years it got away from me. But I love starting to slowly collect them back.

WHAT SPURRED YOUR INTEREST IN COLLECTING?

What has truly spurred my interest in collecting is just being able to to know that there's figures out there and other collectible toys that make you feel good you know if there's nothing like being a fan of superheroes and knowing it's a great way to get away away from The Real World especially when your kid. I think it introduces you to imagination which is fantastic way to learn because without imagination we wouldn't have or great people in history you know. All these folks we're able to do and fulfill their dreams based off of their imagination and thought and I really think of action figures been that release for years for you to use your imagination to think outside the box.

WHAT SPECIFIC LINES/FRANCHISES DO YOU COLLECT?

Like I said earlier I've always been a huge fan of GI Joes Transformers He-Man . And the later years I've become to love the Marvel Universe figures the DC Universe figures and I really think what Mattel and Hasbro does with it's  figures is just fantastic it's nothing in my 44 years I had ever seen until they started producing such wonderful figures. I think Kenner was up was ahead of its time with all of the Star Wars and  their super powers. I love toy Biz I think they're little underrated but they were really great toy company.

DO YOU HAVE ANY FAVORITE PIECES?

It's hard to say if I have a favorite piece. It's kind of like asking which is your favorite child. I would say that 2 figures that I have that are dear to me amongst all of my figures is one of an original Storm Shadow that I got when I was 8 years old. And the other one would have to be I just recently acquired toy Biz Batman that I got.

WHAT IS YOUR HOLY GRAIL COLLECTIBLE?

The Holy Grail I would like to eventually get would be more than likely Transformers Omega Supreme. That was a piece I wanted for years and years and years as a child. You know outside of the USS Flagg with GI Joe those would be the only two pieces that I could see myself actually spending a decent amount of money on to obtain.

WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE TO FELLOW TOY COLLECTORS?

Anyone that's a collector just starting out I would say get what you like whatever it is you like but collect it enjoy it. Also when you're starting out I found that you can get lesser value pieces of figures that might be missing something for fordable prices. And then you save those trying to add the missing pieces and then straight up trade up for something that's a little bit better shape eventually you can work to get a complete hundred percent piece or something that still mint in box or mint on the card. But the  biggest thing is is enjoy yourself.
