Welcome back to Manga Monthly, a look at the best upcoming manga in this month’s PREVIEWS catalog! We’ve got some truly great new series as well as some continuing favorites in this lineup, so be sure to pre-order your favorites at your local comic shop soon!

Dark Horse gets us going this month with the latest volume of Blood Blockade Battlefront (MAR180111)! If you were a fan of the recent anime series, you definitely need to keep up with the manga as well! This is a series by none other than Yasuhiro Nightow, who is probably best-known for his legendary shonen work Trigun. In Blood Blockade Battlefront, Libra agent Leo Watch has the all-seeing "eyes of the gods," and a mysterious scientist who wants to make him a research lab rat threatens Libra and Leo's blind sister to get compliance. But you don't bully a Libra without expecting his comrades to deal out some heavy-duty damage!

Kodansha also continues the publication of one of the all-time classics with the second volume of Sailor Moon: Eternal Edition (MAR181740)! The guardians in sailor suits return in this definitive edition of the greatest magical girl manga of all time! Teenager Usagi is not the best athlete, she's never gotten good grades, and, well, she's a bit of a crybaby. But when she meets a talking cat, she begins a journey that will teach her she has a well of great strength just beneath the surface and the heart to inspire and stand up for her friends as Sailor Moon.

So what makes the Eternal edition so great? Well, it features all-new cover illustrations by creator Naoko Takeuchi, a glittering holographic coating, an extra-large size, premium paper, French flaps, and a newly-revised translation!

A brand-new series is also getting started thanks to Kodansha, with the first volume of Golosseum (MAR181735) arriving soon! This sci-fi wrestling political parody action manga that rocked Japan finally comes to America! Scientists discover a new material that renders people immune to all existing weapons. But these "peacemakers" instead transform world war into a martial-arts free-for-all! Rasputin plots with Russian President Putinov to control the global supply. Opposing them are the unstoppable Axe Bogan, a certain master in a jumpsuit from China, and a slew of other muscular heroes!

Getter Robo is an absolute legend of the super robot genre, having first debuted in 1974 as a creation of Go Nagai and Ken Ishikawa. Now, the classic returns with an updated twist in Getter Robo Devolution (MAR181881) from Seven Seas Entertainment! When strange alien creatures known as the Devolved begin attacking our universe through distortions in space, three young pilots are recruited to combat them. The trio are connected by Getter Rays - a mysterious cosmic radiation - and with its power are capable of piloting the most powerful robot known to mankind: Getter Robo!

Tokyopop continues to expand upon their Disney manga lineup with the upcoming Miriya and Marie (MAR181962)! Inspired by the classic Disney animated film The Aristocats, this story blends classic shoujo aesthetics with the magic of Disney in a gorgeous full-color manga. Even though the wealthy young girl Miriya has almost everything she could ever need, what she really wants is to find her missing parents. But this year, she gets an extra special birthday gift when Marie, a magical white kitten, appears and whisks her away to Paris! Learning the art of magic is one thing, but getting to eat the tastiest French pastries and wear the most beautiful fashion takes Miriya and Marie's journey to a whole new level!

It may be 20 years since the series first made its way to the U.S., but you still gotta catch ‘em all in Pokémon: Sun & Moon (MAR182040)! Viz Media has continued to publish the Pokémon Adventures series to great success.

In this manga adaptation of the latest generation of the popular video game franchise, Moon is on her way to deliver a rare Pokémon to Professor Kukui in the Alola region when she meets his good friend Sun, a courier entrusted with a special Pokédex. Sun offers to safely deliver Moon to the professor's lab... But then they tangle with a group of grunts from Team Skull and are attacked by a mysterious Pokémon!

Viz will also be publishing the first volume of Fullmetal Alchemist: Fullmetal Edition (MAR182019), a swanky collector’s edition of this wildly popular shonen series! The Fullmetal Edition features new lettering, and updated translation, all of the original color pages, as well as new character sketches and a gorgeous hardcover binding.

In Fullmetal Alchemist, in an alchemical ritual gone wrong, Edward Elric lost his arm and his leg, and his brother Alphonse became nothing but a soul in a suit of armor. Equipped with mechanical "auto-mail" limbs, Edward becomes a state alchemist, seeking the one thing that can restore his and his brother's bodies...the legendary Philosopher's Stone.
