John Romita Jr. has shed more light on his involvement in the upcoming Superman: Year One that will have him working alongside Frank Miller. The story's scope will be similar to Batman: Year One. In an article that was posted by CBR, Romita Jr. explained the new Superman story will take place "between the time he lands and the time he realizes what he is." Don't look for the Man of Steel to be a bullet through the blue sky throughout the book. It's not going to happen. Readers are essentially coming in the day after ground zero. Further elaborating on why Miller has now picked up the gauntlet to tell such a tale, Romita Jr. commented "He said he always wanted to complete the cycle and do a Superman: Year One. Well, he finally got the chance to do it."
