The Lost Boys Find Their Way Back To A Sequel

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before. Michael and Sam moved to Santa Carla, California. They moved to a house where a grumpy old Grandpa grew plants that did more than just make the house look pretty. Mom tried to stay upbeat about her new job. She even tried dating. And soon, Michael even found a new girlfriend. Everything seemed to be moving in the right direction.

Until Michael had a run-in with the local vampires.

It was a movie made by Richard Donner, and it was released in 1987 when a very young Kiefer Sutherland was starting to break out as an “A-List” actor. The movie was called The Lost Boys, and it was huuuuuge.

Well, much like the undead are hard to kill, so is a good story. Vertigo thought the town of Santa Carla shouldn’t be left to languish in 80s cinema history. So with writing by Tim Seeley, and art by Scott Godlewski, The Lost Boys #1 (AUG160349) from Vertigo/DC Entertainment will bring back Michael and Sam, along with Edgar and Allan Frog. The four boys will once again be subject to supernatural scuffles, only this time with vampires that are of the female persuasion. They’re called the Blood Belles ... and they’re just dying to meet you.

Gruesome and grim, with a tip of the hat to big hair of the 80s, The Lost Boys #1 (AUG160349) from Vertigo can be found in the DC Comics section of the August PREVIEWS catalog!
