Suicide Squad Volume 1: Kicked In The Teeth

Locked in Belle Reve Penitentiary are the worst of the worst in the DC Comics universe, and in Suicide Squad: Vol. 1 (APR120250) we find Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot, and their fellow inmates languishing behind bars. The Suicide Squad has been defeated and they must try to make it out alive as they’re tortured and interrogated about their latest mission. It’s up to the Squad to find out who is pulling the strings behind the scenes or crack under the pressure trying! When a prison riot tips the scales in their favor it’s do or die time as Harley Quinn escapes, but will she make it out alive or will the Suicide Squad live up to their name?

Suicide Squad: The Janus Directive 

For a more classic take on the Suicide Squad, many fans turn to John Ostrander’s run on the series and his story The Janus Directive (APR160402). Amanda Waller has kept the Suicide Squad in check and on a short leash, but she’s about to find out that the villains in the Squad are the least of her worries. It turns out that the Suicide Squad aren’t the only team cleaning up the government’s dirty work and when Waller stumbles on a conspiracy codenamed “The Janus Directive” it may mean the end of her and the Suicide Squad. Poised on the brink of all-out war between the rival government factions, it’s up to Waller and the Squad to do what they do best and save the day.

Harley Quinn Volume 1: Hot In The City

Harley Quinn is poised to be the breakout star of Suicide Squad and now fans can read all about her exploits outside of the Squad in Harley Quinn: Vol. 1 (JAN150369). Harley’s had enough of Gotham and decides to strike out on her own in an all-new solo adventure from the fan favorite creative team of Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner. It’s a whole new chapter for Harley as she makes her way to Coney Island and becomes a roller derby queen, but she just can’t give up her life of crime. This madcap, fast moving story is filled to the brim with Harley’s trademark craziness and is sure to enchant fans of Suicide Squad and Harley Quinn.
