SDCC16: Adam Hughes Gossips About Betty & Veronica

It’s a classic tale, to say the least. “Pop’s Choklit Shoppe is being shut down, and Betty’s up in arms about it,” says Adam Hughes when PREVIEWSworld interviewed the writer/artist for Betty & Veronica at this year’s San Diego Comic Con.

“It’s the year 2016. It’s everyone fighting everyone!” he smirked.

Hughes knows that he’s writing and drawing about the hippest spot in Riverdale. He knows that The Choklit Shoppe and its owner, Pop Tate, are an institution in Riverdale, having graced comic book pages since they first appeared in Pep Comics #46 in 1944.

But it’s a new day, and anything can happen.

See the above video to hear more from Adam Hughes, and to learn what lies ahead for his relaunched Betty and Veronica series from Archie Comics!
