Legendary Nabs Rights to Live Action Pokemon Movie

Legendary and The Pokemon Company have announced that the first live action Pokemon movie is now in development. The movie will be based on the latest Pokemon spin off Detective Pikachu, which follows a Pikachu who speaks and solves mysteries. While details involving the plot and story are being kept under wraps, it was announced that production will be fast tracked to start in 2017. Nineteen animated Pokemon movies have been released since 1998.
