Next month Batman and Superman both hit their fiftieth issues -- and now, DC Entertainment announces new variant covers for these issues, along with updates for their contents and more!
In Batman #50 (JAN160227), the extra-sized conclusion to the epic "Superheavy" storyline just got a little bigger -- and now, this 48-page issue has been increased to 56 pages, with a new cover price of $5.99 US.
In the 40-page lead story, written by Scott Snyder with art and cover by Greg Capullo and Danny Miki, Batman has returned to Gotham City! Bruce Wayne returns to the cape and cowl to battle Mr. Bloom alongside Jim Gordon for the fate of the city they both love.
This issue now features an additional eight-page epilogue written by Scott Snyder, with art by Yanick Paquette!
And in Superman #50 (JAN160229), Superman is back at full power, and he takes the fight right to Vandal Savage in the epic conclusion to "Savage Dawn"! You won't want to miss Vandal's vision of Krypton -- and a glimpse at dark future he might rule!
Superman #50 is written by Gene Luen Yang, and features art by Howard Porter, Patrick Zircher and Ardian Syaf, plus a special page by classic Man of Steel artist Jon Bogdanove and a new cover by John Romita Jr. and Danny Miki, shown above.
In addition, each of these issues now features a newly added 1:100 variant cover by superstar artist Dave Johnson that link together to form one big image!
